UNITED NATIONS RELIEF AND WORKS AGENCY FOR

PALESTINE REFUGEES IN THE NEAR EAST

                Letter dated 12 December 1994 from the Permanent

                Representative of Portugal to the United Nations

addressed to the Secretary-General

I have the honour to inform Your Excellency that the Government of Portugal has decided to contribute $25,000 to the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA).

In addition to this voluntary contribution, my Government has also decided to contribute a further $15,000 to assist in the transfer of the headquarters of UNRWA to Gaza.

I would kindly request that this letter be circulated as an official document of the Assembly under agenda item 77.
