Reports of the Second Committee

The Acting President: This morning, the General Assembly will consider the reports of the Second Committee on agenda items 91 to 98 and 12. I request the Rapporteur of the Second Committee, Mr. Uladzimir Gerus of Belarus, to introduce the reports of the Second Committee in one intervention.

The Assembly also has before it document A/53/612, which contains the report of the Second Committee on agenda item 97, entitled Permanent sovereignty of the Palestinian people in the occupied Palestinian territory, including Jerusalem, and of the Arab population in the occupied Syrian Golan over their natural resources. Paragraph 11 contains one draft resolution, which was adopted by the Second Committee by a recorded vote and is recommended to the Assembly for adoption.
