Sir,
I have the honour to transmit to you the following request.
The Hashemite Kingdom of Trans-Jordan, being a peace-loving nation and prepared to undertake the obligations embodied in the Charter of the United Nations Organization, has the honour to submit their request for admission to membership of the United nations Organization.
This official request is submitted by me on behalf of my government in accordance with the decision of the Council of Ministers No. 582 dated 24/6/1946 which same was approved by His Majesty The King of the Hashemite Kingdom of Trans-Jordan.
I take this opportunity of expressing the best wishes of the Hashemite Kingdom of Trans-Jordan for the success of the United Nations in the realization of their objective, namely, the furtherance of peace and cooperation and the cultivation of friendly relations between all nations for the interest of humanity as a whole.
