Readout of the Secretary-General’s meeting with H.E. Ms. Michelle Bachelet, President of the Republic of Chile

The Secretary-General met with H.E. Ms. Michelle Bachelet, President of the Republic of Chile, on the margins of the 71st General Assembly. 

The Secretary-General thanked Chile for its strong contributions to the work of the United Nations, including to peacekeeping.  He thanked Chile in particular for its contributions to MINUSTAH and the UN Mission in Colombia. 

They exchanged views about the ratification process of the Paris Agreement on climate change and the implementation of the 2030 Agenda, including in the area of gender equality.
