The Secretary-General met today with H.E. Mr. Nguyen Minh Triet, President of Viet Nam. The Secretary-General discussed with the President various issues relating to UN-Viet Nam cooperation and the Millennium Development Goals. They also touched upon the upcoming ASEAN-UN Summit (scheduled for 29 October in Ha Noi, Viet Nam) as an important opportunity to find concrete ways to enhance ASEAN-UN cooperation.
