Readout of the Secretary-General’s meeting with H.E. Ms. Helle Thorning-Schmidt, Prime Minister of Denmark

The Secretary-General met today with the Prime Minister of Denmark, Ms. Helle Thorning-Schmidt. 

They discussed the global response to Ebola Virus Disease and the Prime Minister indicated the intention to provide more assistance.

They also exchanged views on the Climate Summit recently concluded and global efforts to combat climate change, including the Green Climate Fund. Preparations for the post-2015 development agenda were also discussed.

The Secretary-General commended Denmark for its active support for a number of key global issues, including education through the Global Education First Initiative.
