The Secretary-General will travel tomorrow, 4 October, to Strasbourg, France.
The Secretary-General will address a session of the European Parliament during which parliamentarians are expected to voice their support for the speedy ratification of the Paris Agreement on climate change.
Immediately afterwards, he is expected to participate in a press conference alongside Jean-Claude Juncker, President of the European Commission; Martin Schulz, President of the European Parliament; and Ségolène Royal, President of COP21.
He will also have separate meetings with Mr. Schulz and with Thorbjorn Jagland, Secretary-General of the Council of Europe.
The Secretary-General will then travel onwards to Belgium where he will attend the Brussels Conference on Afghanistan on Wednesday.
