Fahad Alajmi serves as an Adviser for Political Affairs, Peace and Security in the Office of the President of the 77th session of the General Assembly.

He also held the position of Adviser for Peace and Security and Humanitarian Affairs in the previous Office of the President during the 76th session. During this time, Fahad was responsible for various portfolios such as Peacebuilding Financing, Interparliamentary Union, Security Council, and the IGN process.

Prior to joining the Office of the President, Fahad worked as Attaché in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the State of Kuwait from February 2017 until September 2021.

Since joining the foreign service in 2017, Mr. Alajmi, has been serving on the Cabinet of the First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the State of Kuwait. While in the Ministry of Foreign affairs, Fahad dealt with various issues pertaining to the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), League of Arab States (LAS), Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), United Nations (UN), the Middle East Strategic Alliance (MESA), Kuwait’s Gulf Crisis Reconciliation Team, Kuwait Fund for Arab Economic Development (KFAED), and the Kuwaiti Parliament.

Fahad holds a bachelor’s degree in International Relations, with an emphasis on Peace Studies from the University of Missouri – Columbia (MU), he also has a multicultural certificate from MU, with cross-cultural interactions in different environments with respect to globalization.

Fahad is bilingual in Arabic and English, and has working knowledge of French and Spanish.
