SDG SUMMIT & BILATERALS
This hour, President Csaba Korosi is meeting with Australia’s new Permanent Representative, Ambassador James Larsen.
Earlier today, President Korosi met with Ambassar Alya Ahmed Saif Al-Thani of Qatar and Ambassador Fergal Mythen of Ireland. They are the co-facilitators for the SDG Summit Political Decraltion, the text that is scheduled for adopting in the opening segment of the SDG Summit on 18 September. As the President said today – An ambitious political declaration is key for the success of the SDG Summit and to guide our future work on advancing the implementation of the 2030 Agenda.

QUESTIONS
The Spokesperson was asked if the President has any plans to visit the Middle East. The Spokesperson said that there is no official visit to be announced.
The Spokesperson was asked what the point is of the SDG Summit. The Spokesperson said that this is the big summit that will open UNGA week, on 18 and 19 September.
