I was thrilled, when I got the letter regarding my selection for the 2023 President of the General Assembly Fellowship Programme. For me, this program is an exceptional opportunity for enhancing my knowledge on multilateralism and the United Nations complex system. As a young diplomat, I believe it will contribute significantly to creating conducive environment for the youth empowerment.

During the first weeks of the fellowship, we had a training program organized by the United Nations Institute for Training and Research (UNITAR). These trainings helped us to have comprehensive understanding about the United Nations system. We also had interesting discussions on current trends of global politics and international relations.

After two weeks of productive sessions, we started our work at the Office of President the General Assembly (OPGA). The OPGA team is highly experienced and culturally diverse, which makes the working environment even more unique and interesting. For the first phase of rotation, I have been assigned to Communications and Media team and I am very much looking forward to learning as much as can from professional team members.
