POVERTY
President Csaba Kőrösi today warns that unless Governments make swift decisions and take substantial science-based policy action, poverty rates will not change.
He is making the comments this hour at a commemorative event for the International Day for Eradication of Poverty.
In his remarks, the President will call for three way to respond to those in need.
One – end the many armed conflicts underway.
Two – anchor decisions in evidence-based solutions through science… and think Beyond GDP.
Three – act in solidarity.

BILATERALS
Among his bilaterals today, President Kőrösi is meeting with Ambassador Jörundur Valtýsson, the Permanent Representative of Iceland.
He will meet with the Chair and the Secretary of the UN Scientific Committee on the Effects of Atomic Radiation. That’s Dr. Jing Chen. And Ms. Borislava Batandjieva–Metcalf.
This afternoon, President Kőrösi is due to meet with Ambassador David Bakradze, the Permanent Representative of Georgia.
And with Ambassador Suriya Chindawongse, the Permanent Representative of Thailand.
