BILATERALS
The President of the General Assembly has a number of bilateral meetings today.
Including with Minister Kouadion Konan Bertin, Minister of Reconciliation and Nationale Cohesion in Cote d’Ivoire.
This morning, President Korosi met with Ambassador Olof Skoog, the head of the European Union delegation to the UN.
And later today he will meet with Ambassador Philippe Kridelka, the Permanent Representative of Belgium, in his capacity as Chair of the Fifth Committee. Which the President will address tomorrow.
FOURTH COMMITTEE
This afternoon, President Korosi will address the Fourth Committee, the Special Political and Decolonization Committee.
He is expected to request Member States to focus on solutions, to use scientific evidence in their discussion, to show solidarity and build consensus, and to prioritize crisis management and transformation, as world leaders said was important to them during the UNGA General Debate.
UKRAINE
And I know that you will ask about the General Assembly and when will Ukraine be discussed. I don’t have an update for you right now.
QUESTIONS
The Spokesperson was asked about a US-sponsored resolution that is due to be in the General Assembly. The Spokesperson said she had not heard of it.
