COMMITTEES

With the UNGA General Debate behind us, we are shifting on the General Assembly’s day-to-day work.

Later this week, the Committees will hold their first meetings.

On Thursday, the 1^st committee – that’s the disarmament and international security committee – will hold its first meeting of the 77^th session.

The Social, Humanitarian and Cultural committee – also known as the Third Committee – will also start its work.

Thursday will also be the first meeting of the Special Political and Decolonization Committee – which is the Fourth Committee.

QUESTIONS

The Spokesperson was asked about the Credential Committee. The Spokesperson said that there were no updates on the Credentials Committee.

The Spokesperson was asked by São Tomé and Principe did not participate in the General Debate. The Spokesperson referred the journalist to the Mission.
