From Evidence to Action: Advancing Impact Evaluation in Peacebuilding

October 2025

From 8 to 10 October, the Peacebuilding Impact Hub within the Peacebuilding Support Office hosted a joint training on impact evaluations for peacebuilding. The training was conducted jointly by the Peacebuilding Fund, the World Bank, the International Initiative for Impact Evaluation (3ie), and the International Security and Development Center (ISDC). The goal was to equip practitioners, researchers, and policymakers with a better understanding of conducting impact evaluations for peacebuilding projects. The training presented a range of methodologies and approaches for measuring impact and utilized examples from projects supported by the Peacebuilding Fund and the World Bank and from impact evaluations funded by Germany and Canada. This is the second training on impact evaluation hosted by the Impact Hub. The first training was conducted in April 2025 after the launch of an impact evaluation of Peacebuilding Fund's work in East Darfur.
