5 October 2018 - Qatar University (Qatar), a member institution of the United Nations Academic Impact (UNAI), and in particular the Office of the Vice President for Research, is organizing the 2nd Youth Research Forum, which will take place at the New Research Complex of the university in Doha, aiming to serve as a gathering of undergraduate and graduate students in all universities, colleges and scientific institutes in Qatar to present their research on one otr more of the Goals of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development. The event, organized in cooperation with the Qatar National Commission for Education, Culture and Science, has a central theme The Role of Youth in Innovation and Sustainable Development in the State of Qatar.

The students will present their theoretical or applied research proposals, previously evaluated in terms in methodology, data collection tools, results and practical recommendations. The best research papers and the best posters will be awarded. This institution of higher education hosts the Center for Sustainable Development which aims to develop sustainable and integrated solutions which address many contemporary and significant challenges posed by the rapid economic and demographic changes of Qatar, with interdisciplinary and innovative research oriented towards tailor-made solutions that are economically feasible, socially acceptable and environmentally sustainable.
