SUB-COMMITTEE 2 OF THE AD HOC COMMITTEE ON PALESTINE
Sub-Committee 2 of the Ad Hoc Committee on the Palestinian Question held two meetings today, during which they approved, in their final forms, Chapters I, II and III of the Report which will be submitted to the Ad Hoc Committee.
These three chapters, which contain the substantive part of the report, deal with the questions of Jewish refugees and displaced persons; the legality of the Mandate and the competence of the United Nations to enforce any decision it may make regarding Palestine, and the proposed constitution for Palestine as a unitary state.
Monday morning, 10 November, Sub-Committee II will give its final approval to the resolutions embodying the Sub-Committee's recommendations.
