QUESTION OF PALESTINE
Algeria, Bahrain, Democratic Yemen, Djibouti, Iraq, Jordan,  Kuwait, Lebanon, Libyan Arab Jamahiriya, Mauritania, Oman,  Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Somalia, Sudan, Tunisia  United Arab Emirates and Yemen: draft resolution
The General Assembly,
Recalling its resolutions 3237 (XXIX) of 22 November 1974, 43/160 A of
6 December 1988 and 43/177 of 15 December 1988,
Taking into consideration that the Executive Committee of the Palestine Liberation Organization, in accordance with a decision by the Palestine National Council, has the powers and responsibilities of the Provisional Government of the State of Palestine,
Noting the increased number of States Members of the United Nations that have recognized the State of Palestine,
Taking note of the decision of the Ninth Conference of Heads of State or Government of the Movement of Non-Aligned Countries, held at Belgrade from 4 to 7 September 1989, 1/ to welcome the State of Palestine as a full-fledged member of the Movement,
Taking note of the report of the Committee on the Exercise of the Inalienable Rights of the Palestinian People, 2/

1. Decides that the designation Palestine shall be construed, within the United Nations, as the State of Palestine, without prejudice to the acquired rights of the Palestine Liberation Organization in accordance with the relevant United Nations resolutions and practice;

2. Requests the Secretary-General to implement the present resolution.
