The Secretary-General met today with H.E. Mr. Bruno Eduardo Rodríguez Parrilla, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Cuba.
 
The Secretary-General offered his condolences in relation to the loss of life and damages caused by hurricane Irma. He thanked the Foreign Minister for the support of Cuba to other Caribbean islands affected by the hurricanes Irma and Maria.
 
They exchanged views on regional developments. The Secretary-General also commended Cuba for its key role in the peace process in Colombia. The Foreign Minister supported the UN reforms launched by the Secretary-General.

El Secretario General expresó sus condolencias por las pérdidas de vidas humanas y los daños causados por el huracán Irma. El Secretario General agradeció al Canciller por el apoyo a las otras islas caribeñas afectadas por los huracanes Irma y María.
 
El Secretario General y el Canciller abordaron temas de interés regional. El Secretario General elogió a Cuba por su papel clave en el proceso de paz en Colombia. Canciller Rodríguez Parrilla expresó su apoyo a las reformas de la ONU lanzadas por el Secretario General.
