The Secretary-General met today with H.E. Mr. Joseph Muscat, Prime Minister of the Republic of Malta. 

The Secretary-General and the Prime Minister exchanged views on the large movement of refugees and migrants and the situation in Libya. 

The Secretary-General commended Malta’s important role in the implementation of Sustainable Development Goal 14 on conserving and sustainably using the oceans, seas and marine resources.
