The President of the 75th session of the General Assembly, H.E. Mr. Volkan Bozkir, met today with H.E. Mr. Mamadi Touré, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Guineans Living Abroad of the Republic of Guinea.

They discussed Guinea’s election as the new Chair of the Group of 77 (G-77) and China, and their priorities for the upcoming year. They underscored the importance of multilateralism to addressing global challenges.

The principals agreed that unprecedented collective action is key to building back better for developing countries, specifically Least Developed Countries (LDCs) and other countries in special situations.  The President will participate in the 44th G-77 Ministerial Meeting on 12 November 2020.
