The President of the 73rd session of the United Nations General Assembly, H.E. Ms. María Fernanda Espinosa Garcés, met with H.E. Mr. Ahmed Aboul Gheit, Secretary-General of the League of Arab States. The President of the General Assembly and the Secretary-General of the League of Arab States discussed the longstanding engagement of the League of Arab States with the United Nations since 1950, and agreed to work together on shared priorities for the 73rd session of the UN General Assembly, including the work of the the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA), and supporting multilateralism to respond and deliver to those in need.
