The United Nations has recently been informed of fraudulent e-mails seeking applicants for UN internships and that unfortunately, some of these fraudulent UN internship notices were advertised by career services at universities and other academic institutions.  We understand that such internship notices and subsequent offers of internships might request prospective interns to send payments in advance.

The United Nations is not involved in the arrangements referred to in such notices and the use of the United Nations name and/or emblem in those notices is not authorized.  Please note that information about the internship programme within the UN Secretariat is posted at: http://www.un.org/depts/OHRM/sds/internsh/htm/application.htm.  Please also note that the United Nations does not charge a fee at any stage of the internship application process.

For information about Internships in other UN entities, and organizations of the UN system, please contact the respective UN entities and organizations directly.  UNAI members are encouraged to contact the UNAI secretariat at academicimapct@un.org
