DPI photo exhibit on question of Palestine – Press release

UNITED NATIONS PHOTO EXHIBIT ON QUESTION OF PALESTINE OPENS TODAY

An updated version of the photo exhibit of the Department of Public Information (DPI) on “The United Nations and the Question of Palestine” opens today. The updating of the exhibit was mandated by the General Assembly in its resolution 53/41.

The photo exhibit is located on the third floor concourse between the General Assembly and Conference buildings and is part of the guided tour route. It describes inter alia, how the question of Palestine has been dealt with in the United Nations, how the search for a solution to this question has evolved since the 1970s, and the work of the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA) and

other United Nations agencies which provide assistance to the Palestinian people.

Under-Secretary-General for Communications and Public Information Kensaku Hogen will open the exhibit at 12:30 p.m.
