UNCCP 146th meeting – Summary Record Corrigendum (Geneva)

UNITED NATIONS CONCILIATION COMMISSION FOR PALESTINE

CORRIGENDUM TO SUMMARY RECORD OF THE ONE HUNDRED AND FORTY-SIXTH MEETING
Held at the Palais des Nations, Geneva,

on Monday, 24 April 1950, at 11 a.m.

Replace first sentence with: “The CHAIRMAN recounted a conversation which he and Mr. Barco had had with Mr. Rafael.”
Replace with: “He had then drawn Mr. Rafael’s attention to the advantages to the Israeli Government in making an unconditional reply to the Commission’s proposals.”
“The CHAIRMAN drew attention to the fact that Egypt was represented with the Conciliation Commission and at the some time with the Eritrean Commission. The Jordan representative had returned, but only for a few days. The Lebanese representative was that country’s Minister at Berne and had his official duties there. The Syrian representative had not yet returned. Since each representative now here had interests here other than the work of the Commission, he did not feel that their natural inquiries as to the status of the Commission’s work need be considered as a manifestation of impatience on their part.”
