Joint Cttee of Interim Association Agreement between the European Community and the PA meets in Brussels – European Commission press release

The Joint Committee of the Interim Association Agreement between the European Community and the Palestinian Authority has met on 11 May in Brussels.

The European Neighbourhood Policy and the implementation of the EU-PA Action Plan were first discussed, as well as the establishment of Sub-Committees under the Interim Association Agreement.

There was an exchange of views on Political and Regional Issues, including the current situation in the Middle East, and Palestinian institution-building and reforms. The economic and fiscal situation, including trade facilitation, has also been discussed. The European Commission informed about the state of play of transport and energy co-operation under the Action Plan, and plans for EU financial assistance to the PA.
