Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Venizelos meets with Israeli Justice Minister Tzipi Livni

Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Evangelos Venizelos met yesterday, 8 October, in Jerusalem, with Israeli Justice Minister and head of Israel’s negotiating team in the Middle East peace process, Tzipi Livni.
The two Ministers exchanged views on the recent developments in the Middle East and the wider region, in a follow-up to the discussion they had during the International Peace Institute’s working dinner on 22 September, on the margins of Ministerial Week at the UN General Assembly in New York.
Ms. Livni briefed Mr. Venizelos on the course of the peace talks between the Israelis and the Palestinians, and, ahead of Greece’s Presidency of the Council of the European Union in the first half of 2014, there was a discussion of the prospects for EU-Israel cooperation.
