FORTY-FIVE BRITISH M.P.'S CABLE TRYGVE LIE ON PALESTINE

The Secretary-General of the United Nations, Trygve Lie, has received the following cable dated London, 26 February from 45 members of the British House of Commons on the Palestine Question:

"Trygve Lie

Undersigned members British House Commons view Palestine issue as test case for UNO and urge Security Council take all necessary measures to deal with existing and threatened breaches international peace and security in an around Palestine.  We on our side are urging British Government to carry out obligations laid upon it by General Assembly and also to terminate all military assistance to Arab States which have defied or threatened to defy decisions and authority of the United Nations
