Annan condemns by Thursday’s deadly attack in northern Israel 29 November – Deploring Thursday’s deadly terrorist violence in northern Israel, United Nations Secretary-General Kofi Annan today stressed that such acts only undermine the Palestinian cause. “The Secretary-General is dismayed by the attack yesterday in the Israeli town of Beit She’an, in which Palestinian gunmen killed six Israelis and wounded many others,” Mr. Annan’s spokesperson said in a press statement. The statement also repeated the Secretary-General’s “utter condemnation of such terrorist acts against civilians, which are extremely harmful to the Palestinian cause.” |
