“Tampere conclusions”
I. Political and security dialogue:

Partners reaffirm their commitment to achieve a just, comprehensive and lasting solution to the Arab-Israeli conflict consistent with the terms of reference of the Madrid Conference and its principles, including land for peace and based on the relevant UNSC resolutions and the Road Map. Ministers take note of the importance of recent regional developments and initiatives. Partners also call for the reinvigoration of efforts to promote progress in the Middle East Peace Process on all its tracks.
Ministers welcome the positive role played by the EU in the Middle East, particularly during the latest escalation in the region. They also encourage the parties to continue on the path of direct dialogue and negotiation in the fulfilment of the vision of two states, a safe and secure Israel and a viable, sovereign and democratic Palestine, living side by side in peace and security. Final status issues, including border issues, have to be agreed by the two parties.
