OIC Secretary-General Addresses a Letter to the Director-General of UNESCO Demanding that He Act to Stop the Israeli Violations in Al Quds
As part of the OIC endeavors to counter Israel's serious violations and aggressions in the City of Al Quds, the OIC Secretary General, Prof. Ekmeleddin Ihsanoglu, addressed a letter to Mr. Koïchiro Matsuura reiterating his condemnation of Israel's serious violations of the international law in Al Quds, the excavations jeopardizing the safety of the blessed Al Aqsa Mosque, as well as Israel's attempts to tamper with the history and heritage of Al Quds.
The Secretary-General demanded that UNESCO act toward putting an end to these aggressions against the blessed Al Aqsa Mosque and the city of Al Quds, which aim to destroy a cultural and human heritage.
