Summary statement by the Secretary-General on matters of which the Security Council is seized and on the stage reached in their consideration

 

 

   Addendum

 

  Pursuant to rule 11 of the provisional rules of procedure of the Security Council, and in accordance with paragraph 7 of the note by the President dated 19 December 2007 (S/2007/749), the Secretary-General is submitting the following summary statement.

  The complete list of items of which the Security Council was seized as at 5 April 2008 is contained in document S/2008/10/Add.13 of 9 April 2008.

  The present addendum lists the items on which the Security Council took action during the week ending 26 April 2008. The dates given for each item indicate when the item was first taken up by the Council at a formal meeting, and the most recent formal meeting of the Council held on that item.

The situation in the Middle East, including the Palestinian question (3 October 2000; 23 April 2008)

  The Security Council resumed its consideration of the item at its 5873rd meeting, held on 23 April 2008. Under rule 39 of its provisional rules of procedure, the Council extended an invitation to Angela Kane, Assistant Secretary-General for Political Affairs.
