ANNEX

Letter dated 16 November 1985 from the Secretary-General of the

Organization of the Islamic Conference to the Secretary-General

I have the honour to inform you that the Governing Board of the Organization of the Islamic Capitals and Cities, an Organization established within the framework of the Organization of the Islamic Conference, held its eighth session from 26 to 28 October 1985, at San'aa, and approved the telegram below addressed to Your Excellency, through the Secretariat of our Organization, on the Israeli aggression against the capital of the Republic of Tunisia:

"The Governing Board of the Organization of the Islamic Capitals and Cities, meeting at San'aa, capital of the Yemen Arab Republic, has reviewed the brutal Israeli air raid on Tunis and the bases of the Chairmanship of the
Palestine Liberation Organization there, causing the martyrdom of 68 Palestinians and 12 Tunisians among the civilians and wounding another 200 in addition to the destruction of a number of Tunisian buildings. The Board considers this sinful aggression a criminal act against Tunisia, against justice and against all mankind. It denounces the crime and condemns the authorities of the Israeli attack and those having supported them in this dangerous aggression.

The Secretary-General
Engineer Abd al-Qadir Hamzah Kushuk."

(Signed)  Syed Sharifuddin PIRZADA

Secretary-General of the

Organization of the Islamic Conference
