Appointment of members of the Committee on
the Exercise of the Inalienable Rights of the Palestinian People

At its 68th plenary meeting, on 9 December 1997, the General Assembly decided to enlarge the Committee on the Exercise of the Inalienable Rights of the Palestinian People and to appoint Namibia and South Africa members of the Committee.
As a result, the Committee on the Exercise of the Inalienable Rights of the Palestinian People is composed of the following twenty-five States: Afghanistan, Belarus, Cuba, Cyprus, Guinea, Guyana, Hungary, india, Indonesia, Lao People's Democratic Republic, Madagascar, Malaysia, Mali, Malta, Namibia, Nigeria, Pakistan, Romania, Senegal, Sierra Leone, South Africa, Tunisia, Turkey, Ukraine and Yugoslavia.
