Note to correspondents concerning a report about Lakhdar Brahimi

There has been a report today which has falsely claimed that Joint Special Representative for Syria Lakhdar Brahimi had suffered a stroke.  We wish to categorically deny this report.

Mr. Brahimi is continuing with his diplomatic efforts, and will brief the Security Council on Syria on Tuesday afternoon, 29 January.
