Readout of Secretary-General's meeting with H.E. Mr. Luis Guillermo Solís, President of Costa Rica

The Secretary-General met with H.E. Mr. Luis Guillermo Solís, President of Costa Rica. They discussed climate change and the lead-up to the COP-20 (Twentieth Conference of Parties) to be held in Lima, the post-2015 development agenda, and disarmament affairs. The Secretary-General also commended Costa Rica’s chairmanship of the Community of Latin American and Caribbean States, CELAC. Finally, they agreed on the importance of the Human Rights Up Front initiative.
