
Vahd Nabyl A. Mulachela

Vahd Nabyl A. Mulachela is an adviser on management, as well as strategic partnerships and youth in the office of the President of the 73rd Session of the United Nations General Assembly. Vahd is in charge of coordinating the ethics, financing and administrative management of the office of the President. He is also responsible for coordinating outreach to strategic partners, including civil society organizations and business community. He also covers issues related to youth.
Vahd is an Indonesian career diplomat.
He joined the Indonesian Ministry of Foreign Affairs in 2005, and served as a staff at the office of the Minister, head of the China section at the directorate of East Asia and the Pacific, head of the political and security section at the directorate of North and Central America; and as head of analysis and promotion at the secretariat of the directorate general of America and Europe.
He also served as Second Secretary for economic affairs at the Indonesian Embassy in Washington, D.C.. While in Washington D.C., he also covered Indonesia’s relations with the World Bank Group and the International Monetary Fund (IMF).
Before joining the Office of the President of the UN General Assembly, Vahd served as First Secretary for economic affairs at the Permanent Mission of the Republic of Indonesia to the United Nations in New York.
Vahd holds a Bachelors degree in International Relations from Parahyangan University in Bandung, Indonesia, a Masters degree in Humanities from Joensuu University in Finland, and a postgraduate diploma in diplomatic studies from Oxford University, UK.
He speaks Indonesian and English.
