The President of the 73rd session of the United Nations General Assembly, H.E. Ms. María Fernanda Espinosa Garcés, met with H.E. Mr. Augusto Santos Silva, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Portugal. The President of the General Assembly and the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Portugal agreed that multilateralism is the only way to address today’s global challenges. They also agreed to work together to protect the oceans, and to help fulfill the potential of young people to ensure peace and security and the realization of the Sustainable Development Goals.
