The President of the 73rd session of the United Nations General Assembly, H.E. Ms. María Fernanda Espinosa Garcés, met with H.E. Ms. Kolinda Grabar-Kitarović, President of the Republic of Croatia. Two Presidents discussed the mutual priorities during the 73rd session of the General Assembly, with primary focus on empowerment of women and girls and promoting gender equality.

The President of the General Assembly and the President of the Republic of Croatia also spoke about migration, the UN revitalization, the role of small states, as well as the importance of environmental action and focus on global campaign against plastic pollution. They agreed on working together to make the work of the UN more relevant to the people of the world.
