The President of the 73rd session of the United Nations General Assembly, H.E. Ms. María Fernanda Espinosa Garcés, met with H.E. Mr. Leo Varadkar, Taoiseach and Minister for Defence of Ireland ahead of today’s opening of the Nelson Mandela Peace Summit. The President of the General Assembly and the Taoiseach discussed shared common priorities for the 73rd session of the UN General Assembly and agreed on working together to advance sustainable development.
