Why is this action important?

Credit ratings shape how and where countries can access finance. This action ensures the UN stays engaged with rating agencies, to encourage practices that better support sustainable development and keep Member States informed.

What happens next?

At UNCTAD 16 there was an event on Credit Rating Agencies (CRAs), and at the Intergovernmental Group of Experts on Financing for Development (IGE FFD) there will be a session on Investor Relations and CRAs.
