Monitoring Framework for the DPoA
UN-OHRLLS has developed a Monitoring Framework for the Doha Programme of Action for Least Developed Countries (DPoA), in order to track progress on the implementation of its six key focus areas.
This tool, prepared in consultation with the members of the Inter-Agency Consultative Group on the Implementation of the Programme of Action for the LDCs, aims to identify a manageable set of indicators that can be used to track progress, building on the wide variety of relevant data collected by the different UN system entities.
In preparing the DPoA Monitoring Framework, in order to promote coherence and minimize additional data collection burdens on Member States, the targets included in the DPoA were mapped against existing global monitoring frameworks, particularly the one for the 2030 Agenda.
The DPoA Monitoring Framework currently comprises 165 indicators (133 of which are unique) to track progress across its 113 targets and will be periodically updated as needed.
