Office of the High Representative for LDCs, LLDCs and SIDS (UN-OHRLLS)

The Office of the High Representative for the Least Developed Countries, Landlocked Developing Countries and Small Island Developing States (UN-OHRLLS) leads coordination of the UN System and other stakeholders in supporting implementation, follow-up, monitoring and reporting of the Programmes of Action (PoA) for the Least Developed Countries (LDCs) and the successive UN Conferences on LDCs, including LDC5

It advocates in favour of LDCs within and outside the United Nations and with other partners, mobilizes resources to support LDCs' efforts to implement their programme of action and to ensure their effective participation in relevant global and regional events. The Office also provides support to group consultations of LDCs and their engagement in intergovernmental processes. It also prepares an annual SG Report on the implementation of programmes of action for LDCs and a triennial SG Report on Smooth Transition Measures. It supported the establishment of the LDC Technology Bank, among other activities, and it is now making notable progress on the operationalization of the five concrete deliverables of the Doha Programme of Action. Through a network of LDCs National Focal Points, the Office engages directly with government representatives from LDCs to ensure coherence between global discussions and national development priorities.

UN-OHRLLS manages the Inter-agency Consultative Group (IACG) on LDCs and the Inter-agency Task Force (IATF) on graduation.
