Key resources on the Senior Women Talent Pipeline

The Senior Women Talent Pipeline (SWTP) is the flagship program of the UN Secretariat dedicated to increasing the share of civilian women in UN peace operations and is a key element in the Secretary-General’s System-Wide Gender Parity Strategy

Support provided

The Senior Women Talent Pipeline is a talent pool under the UN Department of Operational Support aimed at promoting gender parity at senior levels in UN peace operations.

The SWTP provides personalized support to members of the pool in applying for senior positions in UN peace operations and targeted training and development opportunities to ensure candidates are well-equipped to apply for and take up senior positions at the UN.

In addition, the SWTP provides operational and advisory support directly to UN peace operations and field offices on how to make progress on gender parity.
