Migrants at the Tripoli Airport preparing to board the flight home. In late August 2020, 118 Ghanaian migrants stranded in Libya due to COVID-19 restrictions were able to go back home. The flight was the first under the International Organization for Migration’s Voluntary Humanitarian Return (VHR) programme since the outbreak of the pandemic. Several VHR flights to different countries in Africa have since followed, made possible through the EU-IOM Joint Initiative for Migrant Protection and Reintegration.

مهاجرون في مطار طرابلس يستعدون لصعود الطائرة إلى وطنهم. في أواخر آب/أغسطس 2020، تمكن 118 مهاجرًا غانيًا تقطعت بهم السبل في ليبيا بسبب قيود فيروس كوفيد-19 من العودة إلى ديارهم. كانت الرحلة الأولى في إطار برنامج العودة الإنسانية الطوعية للمنظمة الدولية للهجرة منذ اندلاع الوباء. وقد تبع ذلك العديد من رحلات برنامج العودة الإنسانية الطوعية للمنظمة الدولية للهجرة إلى بلدان مختلفة في أفريقيا، والتي أصبحت ممكنة من خلال المبادرة المشتركة بين الاتحاد الأوروبي والمنظمة الدولية للهجرة لحماية المهاجرين وإعادة الاندماج.

Migrantes en el aeropuerto de Trípoli preparándose para abordar el vuelo a casa. A fines de agosto de 2020, 118 migrantes ghaneses varados en Libia debido a las restricciones del COVID-19 pudieron regresar a casa. El vuelo fue el primero en el marco del programa de retorno voluntario asistido de la Organización Internacional para las Migraciones desde el estallido de la pandemia. Desde entonces han seguido varios vuelos a diferentes países de África, gracias a la Iniciativa Conjunta UE-OIM para la Protección y Reintegración de los Migrantes.

Fin août 2020, 118 migrants ghanéens bloqués en Libye en raison des restrictions liées au COVID-19 ont pu rentrer chez eux. Le vol était le premier depuis le début de la pandémie dans le cadre du programme de retour humanitaire volontaire (VHR) de l'Organisation internationale pour les migrations. Plusieurs vols VHR vers différents pays d'Afrique ont suivi, rendus possibles grâce à l'initiative conjointe UE-OIM pour la protection et la réintégration des migrants.
