Osaka, Kansai, Japan
Distinguished guests,
Dear colleagues,
As we conclude this session, I would like to acknowledge your remarkable contributions through the Theme Weeks, including today’s constructive dialogue. The commitment, creativity, and vision you have demonstrated embody the very spirit we need to achieve the 2030 Agenda.
The United Nations takes inspiration from such initiatives. You remind us that our mission is not only about monitoring targets, but about building and sustaining momentum through innovation, solidarity, and inclusion.
Building on the Pact for the Future, Member States will formally consider at the SDG Summit in 2027 on how we can advance sustainable development by 2030 and beyond. Coordinated and integrated efforts at the local, national, and regional levels will be essential to strengthen the foundation for our success.
Now, we must convert the energy of these dialogues into decisive actions. We must nurture the partnerships forged here. And we must translate bold ideas into impactful action.
The true legacy of Expo 2025 will be determined not by the words spoken here in Osaka, but by the work we carry forward into our policies, classrooms, conference rooms, and communities across the world.
On behalf of the United Nations, I commend your leadership and look forward to deepening our collaboration to drive progress towards 2030 and beyond.
Thank you!
