Empower children to empower the world!
There are many ways to turn everyday moments into opportunities to empower children and help build a brighter, more inclusive future.
Join the challenge: The power to create change is already inside all of us. We just have to act! Download the AWorld in Support of ActNow app and join the Smurfs challenge to see how even the smallest actions can add up to make a big difference.
Learn about children’s rights: When adults understand children’s rights, they can help protect them. Whether you are a parent, teacher, neighbor, or leader — the more you understand, the more you can do to make sure every child is heard and treated with dignity.
Make space & be their back-up: Children have the right to express their thoughts and feelings and to be taken seriously on issues that affect them, but sometimes they need help turning up the volume on their voice. Whether it is at home, at school, or out in the big wide forest, make space for children to speak up and be their supporter when they do.
Celebrate small but mighty voices: When a child speaks up about how they are feeling, to share an idea, or to stand up for someone, celebrate it! Simple affirmations like a high-five or “Smurf-tastic job!” can go a long way towards building confidence.
