Saturday, 22 November  

The Secretary-General is in South African this weekend to attend the annual G20 Summit meeting. The Secretary-General will address three sessions. The first one is titled, “Inclusive and sustainable economic growth leaving no one behind: Building our economies; the role of trade; financing for development and the debt burden”; and the second one is titled, “A resilient world – the G20’s contribution: Disaster risk reduction; climate change; just energy transitions; food systems”. The last session will be on "A fair and just future for all: Critical minerals; decent work; artificial intelligence”.

Monday, 24 November    

Today is World Conjoined Twins Day

This morning, Security Council is scheduled to hold a briefing on the Middle East, followed by consultations.

At 10 a.m., in the General Assembly Hall, there will be a high-level meeting on the appraisal of the United Nations Global Plan of Action to Combat Trafficking in Persons. Under-Secretary-General for Policy, Guy Ryder, will deliver remarks on behalf of the Secretary-General. Broadcast live on UN Web TV.

At noon, the Spokesperson for the Secretary-General will hold a press briefing, broadcast live on UN Web TV

Tuesday, 25 November    

The Secretary-General will deliver remarks to the AU-EU Summit in Angola.

Today is International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women.

This morning, Security Council is scheduled to hold a briefing on ICC Libya. In the afternoon, it is scheduled to vote on a draft resolution on Libya. In the afternoon, the Security Council will hold consultations on 1718 Committee.

At 10:00 a.m., the Committee on the Exercise of the Inalienable Rights of the Palestinian People will hold a special meeting at the UN headquarters in New York, ECOSOC Chamber to commemorate the International Day of Solidarity with the Palestinian People. It will offer an opportunity for Member States, regional organizations and civil society to share messages of solidarity with the Palestinian people. All Member States and Observers, United Nations organizations, intergovernmental and civil society organizations are invited to attend. The event will be livestreamed on UN WEB TV. At noon, the Spokesperson for the Secretary-General will hold a press briefing, broadcast live on UN Web TV

The guest at the Noon Briefing will be Kalliopi Mingeirou, Chief, Ending Violence against Women section, UN Women, who will brief reporters on this year's International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women.

In Geneva, the UN Information Service will hold its bi-weekly briefing for journalists.

Wednesday, 26 November    

At noon, the Spokesperson for the Secretary-General will hold a press briefing, broadcast live on UN Web TV

The guests at the Noon Briefing will be Assistant Secretary-General for Peacebuilding Support, Elizabeth Spehar, and the Chair of the Peacebuilding Fund’s Advisory Group, Ambassador Macharia Kamau. They will brief reporters on the Peacebuilding Fund’s recent activities.

Thursday, 27 November    

Today is an official holiday, the UN Headquarters will be closed.

Friday, 28 November                            

There will not be a noon briefing today.
