Israeli Air violations of the blue Line continue
PRSG reiterates call for halt to overflights
Beirut, 11 December 2001 (UN Information Centre) – On 10 December, 8 air violations, involving 7 jets and 5 drones, took place across the blue Line and into Lebanese airspace.
Sonic booms were also heard over the capital Beirut.
These air violation took place after a lull of 7 days during which no overflights and no sonic booms were reported across the Blue Line.
The Personal Representative of the Secretary-General for southern Lebanon (PRSG), Mr. Staffan de Mistura, calls once again on the Israeli authorities to cease such air violations across the Blue Line.
