Chairman of the Security Council Truce Commission instructs me to transmit to you the following message further to previous telegram. Jewish armed forces in night penetrated defenses old City and joint up with their comrades besieged in synagogue, have brought them fresh supplies of provisions, arms and ammunition and established lines of communication with new City. Jewish Agency this morning suggested armistice. Am immediately transmitting proposals to Arab authorities shall inform you of results.
