UNDP and Global Environment Facility Small Grants Programme (GEF/SGP) launch environmental educational garden in Bani Naim in Hebron
24.06.2013 – “The project demonstrates UNDP’s pioneering and innovative approach to environmental sustainability” said Khaled Shahwan, Deputy Special Representative of the Administrator (Operations). The project, worth USD 32,000, aims at rehabilitating a 5-dunum stone quarry site in a residential area and converting it into a natural and educational area that attracts people who live nearby. The event was attended the Governor of Hebron, the Minister of Agriculture and representatives from USAID and World Vision.
